WHO CARES WHAT I THINK?

Am I lying to myself?

Are the political extremist on the right and on the left the minority of Americans? Or are we totally screwed?

I want to believe that there are others who don’t feel the need think down party lines.

You know, simple stuff like this.

• I think a strong border is important.
• So is a great plan for people who want to live in our amazing country.
• Our country still is amazing.
• I’m totally cool with people marrying who they want.
• I love our military. I come from a military family. My mother and father both served in WWII. My brother’s did in Vietnam.
• Our military and veterans deserve the very best of what we have. Their needs should be a top priority.
• It would be great to have health care. We’re a wealthy nation and we should be healthy too. An American shouldn’t have to lose their house due to expensive health costs.
• Weed should be legal.
• I believe in the right to bear arms.
• I also think awesome, responsible, healthy minded people should be the owners.
• Two words. Freedom of the Press.
• I know, that’s like four words.
• I don’t know anything about the economy.
• But do know we all pay way too much in taxes.
• Our kids need a great education and I’m embarrassed that our teachers have to pay for their own school supplies.
• Fuck racists.
• I don’t think every conservative is a racist. That’s just crazy.
• Not all liberals are pussies. My liberal friends hunt and own guns.
• I don’t believe conservatives are cool with all these mass murders.
• I don’t have any right to tell a woman what she can and can’t do with her body.
• I’m a pretty spiritual guy.
• But the church should have nothing to do with how our country is run.
• I wish I knew more about foreign policy.
• No I don’t. I just want to trust our leaders to do the right thing.
• I don’t think anybody should fuck with us. I like showing the world that too.
• Men and women should get paid the same for the same job.
• I didn’t like Hilary, but thought it would have been pretty cool to see a woman president. Democrat or Republican. Maybe one day.
• I’m proud to stand during the national anthem.
• I don’t let the people who choose not to stand ruin my day though. I understand why people don’t. I do it for my parents and our troops. I will find another way to support equal and civil rights. I’m a big believer.
• I don’t need to be told what to think.
• I would never vote for party over country. That doesn’t help anybody.
• Anybody can have good ideas. You’re seriously going to shoot down a good idea because there’s an R or D by their name? Grow the fuck up.
• We all lose in that scenario.
• Trump has done some good things.
• I don’t like him or his shock jock style, but I’m not afraid to give credit where credit is due.
• And I know a little something about shock-jocks.
• I actually know that our leaders work for us and they need to be held accountable.
• All Americans deserve the truth.
• I don’t care which side the truth favors. I can handle the truth.
• Healthy minded people can handle the truth. Right?
• Nobody cares what I think politically. Unless they agree with me. Then they welcome my speaking out with open arms.
